Belén

Este pequeño pueblo de pocas calles se llama Belén.  Está ubicado en la laguna de Tacarigua.   El dibujo refleja el lugar donde llegan los pescadores a vender su fresca carga y los pelícanos esperan su arribo.

This little village's name is Belen.  It on the Tacarigua lagoon next to the Caribbean sea.  The sketch depicts the place where fishermen sell their catch and the pelicans watch out for their arrival.

Most of the customers today at the bank were rather old.  The younger and middle aged together with some fit old folks went to protest against Venezuela's dictatorship.

La mayoría de los clientes en el banco hoy eran adultos mayores.  La gente joven, de mediana edad y los viejitos más aptos fueron a las marchas de protesta contra la dictadura instaurada en Venezuela.

Sketches made during my recent trip to Patagonia and Cape Horn with my sister Angela on Holland America's  "Zaandam".  We sailed from Valparaíso (Chile) to Port Montt -visiting Petrohue and Puerto Varas-,  Chacabuco, Punta Arenas, Ushuaia, Cape Horn, the Falkland Islands, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.

Dibujos realizados durante mi reciente viaje al Cono Sur con mi hermana Angela en el "Zaandam" de la línea Holland-America.  Zarpamos de Valparaíso con destino a Puerto Montt-Petrohue-Puerto Varas, Chacabuco, Punta Arenas, Ushuaia, Cabo de Hornos, Islas Malvinas, Montevideo y Buenos Aires.

Most of the crew members were from the Philipines and Malaysia.

La mayoría del personal del barco eran de las Islas Filipinas y de Malasia.

One of the few passengers under 60.  This young man was travelling with his parents, a brother and a sister.  There were only two children.  

Uno de los pocos pasajeros jovenes.  Este viajaba con sus padres y hermanos.  Sólo habían dos niños a bordo. La mayoría de los pasajeros eran mayores de 60.
